I have heard many stories for minecraft on ps3 but the most legit story ive heard coming from a mojang team in a youtube video about minecraft for X-box 360 they said that there were no plans for a ps3 version and even if there were it wouldnt come out for another five years.

unfortunetly that will never happen because microsoft signed an exclusive deal with mojand and 4j studios, so ps3 will never have minecraft

Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing as you.

They added it on the 360 (Because they just HAVE to have everything on their system), but not the Ps3, why? They wouldn't hurt to put it on there, because it would just give them a little extra money from the Ps3 users that play Minecraft. I really hope that Sony and Mojang consider this...

So how I see it alot of people want it for the PS3 but it seems that everyone is just wanting, why doesn't anyone make an online petition to have Sony try and see so many of their users want it. I really could care less, I watched a friend play it on the PC and it didn't really entice me, maybe I download it and see how it is but I don't think I'm going to sink any money into it. And to the deal with Microsoft and the MC team, most likely if Sony wanted they could probably get an exclusive deal with them too but in a different way.

Honestly, I don't want Minecraft on any console. At all. Obviously, it's depriving Jeb's attention off of the PC version; we've been using 1.2.5 for over a month

And it wouldn't be on PS3, not for a long time, anyway. Sony tried to get Minecraft signed, but Microsoft just fought harder and won the bid. It's not happening.
