I've heard different things but I think it might be canon or the MGS4 artbook was wrong all these years.

It was the first canonical outing of the series for a portable platform, being a direct sequel to Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. This is also the first game to utilize graphic novel inspired cutscenes.

Looks like I might have to play it...

It's canon but no one(Even Kojima) likes to talk about it. It's the cousin Oliver of Metal Gear.

I don't know why Portable Ops get's hate, I enjoyed it, I even bought PO+ , It is in fact canon though.
AC!D 1 and 2, as much as I like those game, I'm glad they are un-related.

Seriously? There was a story to that game? My memory must be fuzzy cause I only remember knocking out soldiers and recruiting them

How do you know even Kojima doesn't like to talk about it? He didn't write or direct it, but he was still a producer and Kojima Productions still developed it.

It was a fun game at the time. The story wasn't as deep as the rest in the series, but you see a young Campbell and a young Gray Fox.

Those games were cool. They were not related but I loved the anime setting and getting all the cards and making a deck.  I remember that you could unlock MGS3 cinematics by completing things on Acid 2.

I really liked the AC!D games, I kinda wouldn't mind seeing another one on the vita. Storywise though, as borked as MGS is, it would of made things really confusing considering it takes place in 2016.
