Make CLOUD saves free?

13 replies 535 views Edited Jan 10, 2012

I think that cloud saving should be free to every user. I have been playing my brother's ps3 because mines is broken. When I finally got it fixed I found out I can't transfer my game saves! All that work I put into Skyrim is GONE! If only the CLOUD game storage was free then I would have no problem with the game saves! I know I am not the only one facing issues similar to mines!

I agree, Free users should get at least 75MB.

this sounds nice--but it just isnt feasible. sony has to pay for the clouds. some clouds charge up to 100 a year (thats what i pay for my ipad)

Buy a PS+ subscription and upload your save to the cloud from your brother's PS3. Then you can restore it onto your console.

What they should do is offer a cloud only annual service, like $14.95 per year for 150MB and a way to increase storage for those that need it.

I wish Sony would increase the cloud saves from 150mb to 500mb or at least 300mb.  Maybe I can call and ask them if I pay an extra 5 or 10 a year if they can increase my limit to 500mb.

Maybe Cloud saves will be free in the future, but for now they aren't. Microsoft just added cloud saves too for the Xbox, but they are only for Gold subscribers.

Are Skyrim saves copy prohibited (i.e. can't back them up to a USB thumb drive), or are you trying to play saves made on your brother's PSN account on your own account?

The Game Save is my own. I used my psn account to sign in. I assumed it's copy protected since its a new game.

You say you got it fixed... Through Sony ? Under warranty ?
