My PS3 is starting to run low on memory and I am going to take a wild guess and say that means I will not be able to use save options for new games or anything like that. My question though is what can I do to increase my hard drive's memory? I know I can delete old games and stuff like that but is there a way I can more files from the PS3 onto a USB or something like that? I am also a little fuzzy on what I need to do in order to back up everything.
Sorry that I am kinda lacking in knowing what to do but if anyone can offer any help then that would make my day.
Do you have any suggestions for USBs/external hard drives?
I'd get at least a 1T external that has it's own power supply. You'll need to format it FAT32. This is what I used.
Then check newegg.com for a 2.5" SATA HDD no higher than 9.5mm to replace your old HDD. I recently upgraded to this.
That'll give you more memory than you should ever need.
Before swapping drives use the back up utility then after do a restore. These are on the XMB.
