I am a veteran of the console versions (500 Hours) and I can describe LBP as this:
Platformer Game with Fully Programmable Level Editor.
And I really do mean Fully Programmable. In LBP2, creators make entire games, apps and even hour-long machinima movies, all in-game. You can program your own games and upload them for others to play, or play the hundreds of games created by the community.
Here's some of my games, all programmed in LBP2:
BATTLE CITY VS:
A Ship Shooter I made in 12 hours:
I made all the graphics, sequenced the sound, picked the music, set the lighting and programmed the games.
The downloadable user created level give it a ton of replay value. There are more playable levels for download than you would ever be able to play. The games are all pretty cooland I had the Vita Beta Tester too; I personally am not a big fan of anything platforming; but for a platform game its definatily the best there is.
#1XBOX #2 PSV #3 ps3 thumbs down. Shoo fly don't bother me!
This game will be great, I was also in the Beta for the game. It really did feel like I was playing LBP2 on PS3 with extra tools to help create more levels. I also believe we'll see levels on LBP Vita that actually look better then levels seen on PS3.
Heres two screens from a level I created on LBP2, its more of a detail level (wasn't completed) which going from the Beta I'm pretty sure I could make look even better on the Vita due to some easier things (building in the background etc)
it looks better in motion as well..
