Not to sound like a noob but what is this? Do you have to have a PS3 or can you do it on the computer? What do you download and what do you do with it? Is this contributing to something or is it just for fun?

It was included with an update on the PS3 and you can also fold on your computer.

I'm still a little confused on what this folding home thing is, can someone explain it better to me? (I've attempted to read the info on the website)

You are folding Proteins in different ways to find out what happens to certain proteins when certain things are done to them. By doing simulations you are able to get data in which people at Stanford University can look at and help find cures for such things as cancer. The sooner all the simulations are done the sooner all the answers are unlocked. O and what causes things like cancer are proteins being folded wrong. I hope this helped... cause this is my understanding of folding@home.

I did some work this past week, hadn't been folding for a while, but getting back into it.

When do the stats update on the first post?

Depends... the weekly / overall folder list is updated every Wednesday and the milestones are updated as needed.
