What is Life with PlayStation: Folding@Home?
Basically, Folding@Home is an application that models the process of folding proteins, which is useful in research in the fight against cancer and other such diseases. In an effort to help out in any way we can, we've created this team for all PlayStation fans to join in and support the cause. Life with PlayStation is the application on your PS3 which Folding@Home has been renamed to. Join the Team today!

Nice!  Looks like I didn't get a couple of jobs in by the deadline since it says I'm over 12000 now.

Hopefully I'll be a lot higher up next time!

Edit:  I meant to thank Patriot for the work.  Thanks!

But it should be at like by now 50,000 alot don't you think so?.Ridiculous!! Home Folding is boring anyway Zzzz..Whoever invented was stupid!..lol..But SCEA is starting to tick me off Europe gets The Darkness demo and we don't!.omg Sony is lame!.

Re: PlayStation.com Forums Folding@Home Team!

This thread made me decide to start folding. Up till now I was a skeptic, thinking it wasn't worth the download and whatever. But I realised that all this time just sitting here, I could be folding. Not only that, but I could save on heating bills. (My PS3 heats up my room after a while lol)

Plus, this world map thing is really awesome! They should make it so you can zoom in even further, cycle through the dots, and get PSN ID's of people as you cycle of their dots... (IE get to know some people in your area)

Also, I lol'd at the 2 people in southern africa. Not that they were folding, but that there were these two little dots in this huge dark spot on the map. US and EU are seeming to the most active. East coast has more people right now, since they are all going to sleep. I'm guessing most people fold as they sleep.

Holy hell, I'm actually on the 5,000 list? That's awesome. I barely even fold since like 5 months ago.
