Japan has it made.

So, I heard Playstation Network members in Japan can change their online display names. This is an awesome feature that I'm sure some here would even pay for to have in the States. Just sayin'.

They've had this feature for a long time.  Notice how Sony hasn't brought it to us?  They don't seem to have plans to do so.

I'd love to change my name seeing as I wasn't really thinking when I went with the one I have now. I'd love to change it to my old Socom name.

It's odd they'd let Japan have that feature but not the U.S.

I'd also love to change my name. I've already thought of 2 other ones that I'd use which aren't taken already

I really don't understand the problem. If you wnt a different name make a new account, it's just that simple.

I agree with Moho-foe, and you can challenge youself by recollecting your trophies

People "usually" want a name change after they flame, spam or ramdomly disrespect/harass people not for any good reason what so ever. Maybe sony just thinks other countries are to disrespectful and immature and WILL 100% abuse the feature?

When i make my username i make a massive bond with it. My first PSN ID was OmegaSamus though it was a test and a bit lame when the network first launched i never really wanted to change it...so i forgot my passowrd and was forcedt o u_u BUT now i gots it back due to smashing my head on a piece of wood and remembering my account details
