Is the PS3 full IPV6 ?

3 replies 156 views Edited Dec 14, 2007
hello,
just one question.. my ISP just enabled IPV6 yesturday.. That's great, it allow direct computer access from internet without NAT configuration... som it simplifies the configuration of computers when working behind a NAT type 3.

All my computers at home are now configured with IPV6 (also my ps3 under Ubuntu), but under the XMB, it appears that the PS3 is still under IPV4
so, Does the PS3 implement IPV6 ?
If not, is it planned to deliver a new firmware with IPV6 ? or how to enable it on the PS3 XMB ?

I know this is a old thread. But when you run linux on your PS3 and you have a ipv6 enabled network, it does grab a ipv6 addy from the dhcp server. So i'd say YES, as far as the sony playstation side of it? YES its supported, is it implemented? NO. But at anytime, sony can allow use for IPv6

Wow, you've ressurected an almost 3 year old Thread here & another year old Thread too, rather than do that you should have Googled your question first or just started a new one!
