I have a samsung galaxy nexus and when I connect it to my ps3 it says an unknown USB media device has been connected. If there are drivers for the phone to work with the ps3 how would I install them or even find them for the ps3 ? just trying to avoid using the computer if possible.
any help or information will be great.
Thank You in advance
I have tried to pair the phone with the ps3 through bluetooth but they can't find each other

Yes, it's possible. I have all my videos saved on PS3. I also have a Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Download Skifta app on Google Play Store.
1.Choose a media source (Samsung Galaxy Nexus of course)
2.Choose a player (Play on unlisted player)
And then go to PS3--->Videos or Pictures and click on skifta app and you can copy to your ps3 whatever you like.
To the previous user, don't write no if you don't know how.
pick an old sony ericsson walkman phone up you should get one for next to nothing. bluetooth them over to it they connects to a ps3 unless they have blocked it on a update.
or depending on you wireless modem if it has a usb port plug it in to that. turn on media storage i think it is on your ps3. see if you can access your phone through your modem. works for pics and vids when the ps3 when it wont let you open them
from your phone to ps3?? well yes you could but not like calling sending it though, if you have old myspace/facebook account you can dl all your pitctures to the ps3 hdd. just copy them.

You can also download the Picasa App to your phone and dump all of your photos there. Open "Photo Gallery" under the Photo ivocn on the XMB and enter your Picasa User name and password and all of you photos will be there.
