Does a membership to PS Plus automatically get you access to PS Network?

i bought a 3 month card for the first time because of Resident Evil 5 (the game is 30, it was a no-brainer)
With the exception of some sweet discounts and some free games, to me its not worth it to get it for one year.
I wish there was an option to buy a subscription for one week/month for 5 or 10 dollars

Once the PS Plus Subscription finishes and you do not renew no games will work with the exception of PS1 classics!!!! Mine expired last week and neither the PS Vita games nor the PS3 games worked they all gave a message (Your application has expired) once I bought a new subscrition they started working....

I've owned my ps3 since '07 but I've only been a plus member for about a month now. For myself I think it's worth it..a lot of people say the free games arent worth it and complain about the selection but what do you expect sony to do..give away newly released titles for free? And yes, if you cancel the membership you can no longer play the games again but you do keep the trophies. I have the 3 month membership and at $6 a month that's cheaper that one trip to the drive thru window at taco bell![]()
