My near was working fine until yesterday or the day before. Now everytime I load it up it goes to get my information grabs it and my location tries to send it to Playstation servers and gets an error. There is a purple bar around the update button that slowly fills it is now all the way around the button i'm guessing it takes 4 or so location captures and saves them when it can't connect to the network but i'm not sure that's exactly what it is. Does anyone know?
I was having the "an error has occurred" problem for the last few days and I was able to fix it without doing a reset of any kind. Last night at home on wifi, I went to Settings -> Network -> Internet Connection Test.
It connected to my wifi and succeeded, then I went to Settings -> Network -> WiFi Settings and clicked on my network and made sure it was connected to my wifi network.
Then I tried to do an update in Near and it worked.
Is there an update for Near? Every time I try to check my local area I keep getting an error screen.

It gives me the same problem. It worked for a few days and now it gives me that error and every time I try to manually update it says you can only update once an hour even though it never updated before that. Starting to really irritate me. I've noticed my wifi also went to NAT3 which may be the problem.
I am having the same issues. I leave my Vita in sleep mode so it will update near periodically and it locks up the Vita and I get the Blue Light of Death. A long reset fixes it but Near still receives an error. Been happening since yesterday.
