with the 60GB you have the choice of wifi or ethernet......20GB = only ethernet

60GB version. If you have Wi-Fi, you can use it.
If you take your PS3 over a friends house who doesn't have Wi-Fi, the cable comes into play.

wired ethernet is a more relaible connection and wifi tends to lag sometimes while playing games, so if you have a choice I would go wired.....but if running a wire to your PS3 just isn't an option, wifi will be fine.
