I'm concerned about Microsoft.

They have not been themselves lately.

They have been making bad decisions and loosing top level executives.

They have completely misjudged the PC market by releasing the Horrendous Windows 8.  They have stepped all over themselves with their next Game console, not really having any kind of direction for it.

They are like a senile elderly person, who is a danger to themselves, and needs Home care.

If this goes on, they may do something really stupid like, saying they are a Hardware company, and releasing some kind of Tablet, that doesn't sell at all.................Oh, right.  Its already too late.

I understand your concerns. However, remember that Sega made a LOT of bad decisions which lost them a massive amount of money and ended their console division. First it was the add ons to the Genesis (CD and 32X), then the Saturn was very poor in the game library, with very few reasons to purchase one, and then few people trusted the Dreamcast because of Sega's poor reputation. That was the reason why it flunked out. The PS3, though not the best selling console, still sold a great deal of units, and I think that they've made few enough mistakes to be forgiven.
I think the PS4 should be fine, and the Vita will do alright with the PS4 backing it up.
Those are my thoughts.

I am not too concerned about either company, M$ has too much money to go out of business anytime soon but they have been making terrible decisions in the past few years.  If it wasnt for thier software that people need and xbox 360 they would be out of business.  That is another reason I am staying away from M$ this time around, for about 5 years now everything they produce fails or doesnt meet my expectations such as windows 8 and trying to force that in with all the computers, laptops, phones and gaming systems.

Sony has not had good luck but are turning around, hopefully the ps4 gets them rolling in the right direction and they can run with that.  I think both companies will continue to be leaders in thier industries for years to come.  This post does sound like someone fishing very deep for a reason to get people to xbox.

What peckdogg said.

The 2 corporations have flip flopped roles IMO.

Sony is focused once again.

Im concerned about sony, i heard that they are in financial trouble and that they lose lots of money each year. I also heard that most of their electronics dont sell so well and that they're in debt. will sony go out of business soon, is it safe and a good idea to buy the ps4. should i get an xbox one instead just to be safe. my biggest fear is that i will buy the ps4 and then they will stop making consoles. this happened to me with the sega dreacast. im really concerned about this. what are you guy's thoughts?

FInancial Trouble, yes. It's very safe to purchase a PS4. They are fine, don't worry, the worst case is that they branch off the playstation brand away from the other divisions of Sony. Which won't effect your PS4 in any way.

Sony as a whole had their first net profit for a quarter last quarter. Their first profitable quarter in a while.

I cannot wait to see their numbers next March.
