I want to restore to Default Settings because my Internet Browser password i set 3 years back (I Just started playing again this past year)

well. I forgot what it was and I asked alot of people i know but they all said to restore to default settings when when i asked them "Will it erase my game data?" they would just say "I dont know" So. I figured i would come here for help.

Also Other Question is there a way to connect my PSN account from my PS3 to this Account here on the Playstation Forums?

By "game data" I'm assuming you mean save files. What I'm not so sure is how you're planning on reseting the "default" settings. Do you mean using the Factory Restore option in the XMB? Because, yes that would definitely delete your save files.

An easy solution to avoid losing data is to make a back up of your saves prior to restoring the factory settings. You can use an external HDD or a simple USB flash drive and copy off your save files. Then after restoring just copy back over to your PS3 and you're set. If you have any cached trophy data be sure to sync before doing a factory restore.

No, Restore Default Settings not Factory. Its under settings if you look around in System Settings.

RESTORE DEFULAT SETTING DOES NOT DELETE ANYTHING OFF YOUR PLAYSTATION IT RESETS THE SETTINGS ON YOUR PS3 BACK TO FACTORY SETTING BUT NOT DELETING SAVED FILES. IT MIGHT ALSO RESET THE USERNAME AND PASSWORD FOR YOU NETWORK ACCOUNT THATS ABOUT IT..
