Maybe the service is separated with the backward compatibility in packages e.g ps3 only, ps classics only, or all access where they charge a much premium rate.

From what I have seen/read on different articles, they are saying it will be Q3 2014. It is just hearsay, no one really knows.

You are kind of already using Gaikai if you are using remote play on PS4; it is "powered" by Gaikai.

I highly doubt it would be free.  Even it sounds too good to be true for us Plus memembers maybe we get a discount?  But ya the way Sony has talked about it, it sounds like Netflix.  Hopefully we get a updated news shortly after New Years when it's officially 2014 the year Gaikai is targeted for release.

I HIGHLY doubt it will be free either, or even bundled with PS Plus. A monthly subscription would be a HUGE mistake in the long run.  Sony should really just handle it like they do on the Vita with PSP games, on demand per title.

OnLive required a really high speed internet connection, my connection isn't ideal for it. I wonder about Gaikai's connection requirements... Guess we shall see in time.

ahhh. the connection requirement

see that's another point.  not many people will have teh speed necessary to run the service at its optimum performance

i have a good connection myself btu im speaking for the general masses who may not yet have a broadband connection

i really wish i can just download the d4mn game but that's no longer "streaming"

oh well...

David Perry, Co-founder of Gaikai, recommends a 5 Mbit/s connection and the minimum that is required is a 3 Mbit/s. They are currently trying to make the service even more accessible.

I just hope Gaikai allows us to use every feature of the PS3 games (Online multiplayer etc etc.)

Your rules don't apply to me.

We don't have much info on how Gaikai is going work, but I'm almost positive it is going to be an additional service that you will have to pay for. Sony paid 380 million dollars for Gaikai so think it being included with PS+ or being free is unlikely
