IPv6 Support

1 replies 229 views Edited Oct 18, 2012

When will we be getting IPv6 support on the PS3?  IPv4 space is running out.  Comcast plans on having IPv6 to all its custommers by mid 2013.  IPv6 also does away with issues with NAT etc.

When ISPs force the issue. They currently ALL have IPv4 fall back code so its not needed. IPv6 Will kill alot of equipment that only has firmware for IPv4... Set top boxes with etherenet ports. BD players with ethernet ports. My  last HDTV before this one...

IPv6 is not in as many devices as people think.... the change over Would cause alot of equipment to go ofline...

If comcast force it people will just leave comcast...

I expect comcasts router will translate IPv6 addresses from network but still connect to IPv4 devices locally.

Only the router address is used on the network...
