Thanks Saviorsixtysix for the sig
No i think its going to be one of those overly hyped games with a poor delivery
exactly what im fearing
first of all, i am extremely troubled by the fact that the devs are not stepping up to compare their game to the size of GTA.
if the devs were confident and proud of their map size, they would have stepped up and made it known that their size is big and packed
we havent heard a thing about that yet.
as far as content lenght, they are throwing around the 100hr figure. now, whenever the devs give you a lenght, you always cut that by AT LEAST 30%
they give you 100hr for 100% completion, which means counting the pebbles on the ground, the leaves on the trees, and standing idle on the ground and feeling the breeze to unlock 100% trophy, and all this could be 70hrs.
now take the main story out of that equation, which in most games is around 40% from 100% completion, you are talking about 20 to 35 hour main campaign
what also troubles me is the apparent downgrade in physics animation and graphics. as everyone knows, the A.I. and main character animation was flawless in the 2013 trailers. with the latest trailers, the animation is blocky and looks exactly like last gen
infamous is pretty smooth and i'm gonna use infamous's level of character animation as the next gen benchmark
anyways, i was troubled by the 6 month delay, and i havent seen or heard of any improvements that were made during that time period. actually what most people saw was a downgrade in performance and expectation.
i already have the game pre ordered simply because there are not much games to play on the PS4 to begin with, so i'd better get everything that comes out
but if the game offers at least 70% of what GTA typically offers, i'll be satisfied
my worst nightmare with this game is the feeling that i got when i first played saint's row 1. another GTA knockoff that failed to deliver
