Re: [INFO] The Order : 1886 (V3.0)

Feb 9, 2015

This thread is a wealth of information and I just wanted to share my appreciation to all who have contributed to it. I've been following it for a year now and have enjoyed it immensely.

"The Order 1886" is my most anticipated title in a very long time (44 year-old gamer here) and I really cannot wait until February 20th arrives.

Thank you!

To me this game is amazing. The graphics are astonishing and the gameplay is easy to use. I really dont understand why this game got such low scores, not every game needs a multiplayer selection or free roaming schemes. This is a story based game clearly and very interactive. A lot of people say the story is short which I don't doubt but most games now are very short in storyline. They mainly focused on the graphics engine and the story to make it one of the best realistic games out there so far which to me they succeeded in that.  I like cinamatic games and enjoy watching knowing that this is a game that people can play. I will admit I was going to buy it but Gamestop messed up my pre order so I got lucky and rented it from Redbox. Heavy Rain is a story based game that got fantastic feedback and reviews getting 9.8 in its main score, very interactive with enough gameplay but you could change your decisions. Which was probably why it got such great reviews but The Order is still the same story machanics. If you liked Heavy Rain or Beyond Two Souls then you would really enjoy playing or watching this game. I know I'm ust ranting on why people should try before they judge here but still. They only best review you will get is the one created by you.I love this game and will buy but will wait until the price drops.

Its a good idea to rent this game from redbox. Not only do you get to try the game but you can probably beat the game in a day. With a redbox coupon I was able to play and beat this "AAA" title for free!!!

Another Great IP in the making potentially cut off at the knees by Sony because of public perception and criticism.  I kinda of doubt there will be a sequel from RAD with them currently developing an Oculs exclusive title after having Sony pour so much money into them for VR experimentation behind the scenes in the development of The Order with the still developing Morpheus.  In general, everyone knows that first sequels to new IP do better than their original titles and that's because the company learns so much about and build a deep well to pull from in the future.  All this wasted time and frankly there could have been a majot DLC expansion/side story/backstory of The Order this fall.
