Is there any release date at all ?
I heard end of 2012 / 2013.

My boyfriend this weekend has been playing the builds on his PC (paid a junior members entry) But i been crying out for a game like this. GT5 was for me an utter disappointment,

(sorry to explain i play on my ps3)

But i would love to know if anyone knows of a release date. (fingers crossed not too far away)

No official release date that I've seen yet.

If I had to guess, I'd say we're looking at a Fall 2013 release.

Their PC vs Console FAQ is now linked in the top post.

Also, the end is near for being able to join their PC prerelease participation program.

I have been waiting for years for another TOCA style game. And this looks astonishingly well done. I would expect the PS3 version to look just as good.

It should look at least as good as GT, since they will have the same limitations as GT on the PS3, which means we still should be limited to 16 on-line, too.

When this is released for the PS3, this will be a real treat!

I just ran my first laps around Eidelwald in a Touring Car with an old wheel. Not a real clean lap, but I will get there. It may take a while getting used to the view, too. It seems to be a different height above the road surface than in GT.

Yum, yum.

Here is a video comparison with GT5, Project CARS (dev), and real life, at the Ring.

I finally got to race on-line with other drivers, last night.

This is going to be fun!

The topography of the tracks seem a bit different to what I am used to in GT, ToCA and other sims. At the moment, I don't know which is more accurate. Some tracks have been updated to newer ones than what I was familiar with, in the past, but then that was one reason I wanted into the dev/beta program before they closed it to new members.

Pretty fun game eh!  GT5 is pretty much on the back burner for me now after going around the ring.  Night and day.  GT5 you can be all over the curbs grass, whatever, doesn't matter, in PCARS just touch those curbs and around you go.    The faster I get on PCARS the slower I go on GT5.   I hope PCARS keeps the FFB as high on consoles as it is on PC.   So much more feel through the wheel in PCARS compaired to GT5.    It's like the GT5 x2010 before they newbed out the controls for it.   Also just dumped in an extra 8GB of ram for a total of 16GB and chucked on a liquid cooler for some nicer temps while o/c.   Thing is a beast.   Glad that they went this WMD route, really interesting way to make a game, probably the way of the future after EA goes belly up next year.

This could be the game that ends all racing games. Dare I say it, but I can't see GT6 or the new Forza ever getting anywhere near this.

So much want right now :smileyvery-happy:
