I also have my PS4 paid off along with an extra controller and a couple games. I really hope that I don't get hosed by Gamestop and they leave me out come launch day. In other words, I better be guarnteed my PS4 due to the fact it is paid for.

I've had such bad video game launch day experiences with GameStop that I couldn't bring myself to trust them with my PS4 preorder ... Bestbuy has never let me down so I gave them my preorder dollars

why someone would spend enough money  to buy another ps4 for a ssd which by the way doesnt really add that much improvement other than fast loading times, is beyond me.. honestly id rather have more space than faster loading times,, its cheaper that way

Great idea for the SSD. I've been debating back and forth on whether or not I want to spring for one on my PS4.

Well rawd76... I plan on upgrading my hard drive to a SSHD for the best of both worlds - High capacity and improved speed for the fraction of the price. Just waiting to see if the PS4 will fit it...

Yeah, SSHD for me, Amazon has it for $120  Smiley Wink!

We don't even know the full hardware spec for the PS4 and if it will fully support SSD's by having a SATA3 connection, TRIM and Garbage Collection Support.

So all you're doing is speculating based off of the PS3's specs.

If someone wants to spend money on an SSD for their PS3, let them.... sooner or later we will all find out the truth.

Plus an SSD is best tested when loaded with lots of data.

yep to me a sshd is the best of both worlds...  you get the fast performance + storage space at a fraction of the price of a ssd.

when i do upgrade the ps4 hard drive this will be the drive i would choose...

oh and i would assume the ps4 will take the same size of hard drive the ps3 could use

Planning on swapping the drive already huh.... solid state too..Nice

If I do it I will go 1tb minimum

I will wind up checking if I can use a extension cable and just keep the drive outside the ps4 and get a 4tb drive.

I don't see why that SHOULDN"T work....

Its just a cable.
