I don't understand using SSDs in PS4s

What is the point of putting an ssd in the ps4? The graphics are stuck at what they are. You can control them to your specific hardware like a pc. So what's the point? seems like a really expensive speed boost for load times?

I haven't seen a lot of people saying they were going that route. I have seen a few videos where an SSD installed in  a PS3 made a diference in load times etc. I just haven't seen a ton of people mentioning getting an SSD or the PS4. I will be happy with a 1.5TB. I could be wrong but I think band width also makes a difference when it comes to drives and I think the PS4 drives will be SATA 3 since the  USB ports are 3.0 which could help load times.

I'm getting an SSD, and it has nothing to do with graphics (obviously). The benefit of an SSD is to enjoy faster load times. A game does not have to be optimized to see the benfits of using an SSD over a standard HDD. SSD is quite affordable these days.

Its a pointless waste of money! For a few seconds of time. I like volume not speed. Its a shame Sony couldnt go 3.5 7200rpm drives to allow 3Tb. But i can make more use out of a 2.5 5400rpm 1Tb for $80 than a 256gb SSD costing $200+. More time will be lost adding and removeing games becaue of space on the SSD. I have added 500Gbs of games to my PS3 in 8 months thanks to plus. I can play them anytime they are on my HD waiting with 500Gbs Free space for a lot more. Go for the bus not the sports car with a trunk the size of a glove box!!!

I Enjoy Gaming I don't hate anything about it!

The 1 TB is $599. $200 more than the PS4 system. I don't see it as worth it, but too each their own.
