i am trying to download the map packs for call of duty black ops 2 on the playstaion slim (12gb) and when i try to download it, it says i don't have enough space but ive got a 500gb external hard drive connected to my ps3. is there anyway i can put the download on to my hard drive so it can download?? really need your help? ps ive done everthing such as turn it to FAT32 and make folders.
my WD 1TB portable HDD was not recognised by my PS3 superslim.
I use Ubuntu on my PC so i plugged my HHD into the USB port and opened the disk utility app.
I then unmounted drive so i could format it
Then unpartitioned the whole drive
Then format the whole drive to FAT.
Put it in the left hand USB port on the PS3 and BAM!!!!! There it is as a media source.
For anyone who's PS3 is not recognizing the HDD, you have not successfully format it and removed all partitions
Hope this helps
I have formated my 3tb hard drive to FAT32 and the hard drive now showes up on my PS3. I have also created all the 4 folders with only capital letters. the files show up but when i go in to f.eks the VIDEO file it only sais "There are no titles". i have tryed to use the green triangle, but that dosent help. and i know thers nothing wrong with the movie files i have there, cause they worked on my friends hard drive when he connected it to my PS3. annyone who can help me please?
so can i put games that i buy from the playstation network onto my hard drive and play it on my ps3?
Not an external. The games on your internal hard drive will be playable. An external is for back ups. You won't be able to hook up the external and play the games from there. You'd have to transfer them onto the internal.
