i have recently bought my new dual shock 3 controller, the analog sticks are too loose compared to the old sixaxis controller (same stiffness as a PS2 controller) but this dualshock 3 is too loose and i need alot of accuracy when playing FPS games such as Borderlands 2, battlefield 3, and stuff like that. So is there any way to make them stiffer?

I actually prefer looser sticks when playing a FPS. Maybe because that's what I'm used to. I have a brand new remote I only used once because I was more accurate with my old one. I don't know how to "stiffen" them.

Put Uncharted on your screen or another game with good graphics. That'll make you're PS3 controller stiff.

out of all the controllers i've ever bought, which were all official/OEM Sony controllers, they are ALWAYS going to be initially stiff, until you actually use them for a bit aka broken in.
Now there are mods to controllers where you can buy a stiffer stick, but overtime they're just going to get soft/loose again.
I would recommend you adjust your sensitivity settings to something you like in relation to how your analog sticks feel versus spending money on a controller or aftermarket part thats just going to do the same thing, albeit at a slower rate which you'll end up back in the same place anyway.
