How to keep the PS3 Slim Cool

I was wondering how I would get ps3 slim to stay cool. I got it sitting on some wooden stands to get air to go underneath it but that doesnt help. Any advise.

it must be in a open space

if it gets warm dont worry so much about it, its normal and it can hadle it

all electronics get hot, laptops, desktops, video game systems, cell phones, TVs, receivers, etc...stop being paranoid and just play games and watch movies or whatever it is you do with your PS3 it will be fine..

I have my normal PS3 (60 gig) sitting out in the open and it stays pretty cool .

as long as its not on a carpet, or baking in the sunlight, or right next to the furnace and you dont leave it running over night or play for 24 hours straight, you dont need to worry about ylod.

the idiots who got the ylod always leave out these finer details which definitely gave them ylod in the first place.

for example, some stupid broad i know, left her ps3 on all night every night on standby, folding, xmb, whatever you wanna call it, and finally one day it gave in. and it never crossed her mind that the excessive power usage is what did it in.

it wouldnt hurt to give your ps3 a dusting every now and then either.

Ok I just play for hours on end and was just wandering if the heat would start hurting the system

How long do you play? Because, if it's a question of playing too long, the suggestion then is obvious. Otherwise... perhaps move it to a more spacious area, allowing several inches between the console and any confined space, to allow greater ventilation. Perhaps your area, too, doesn't have the best airflow; open a window, or get a fan going. That's about as much as I can offer. Otherwise, good luck.

It's built to take the heat it outputs. Now, cover the vents and there's a problem.

I got it sitting on my entertainment center under the tv and theres about 6 to 7 inches of space on each side plus its cool where I live. Plus theres about 3 inches of clearence underneath it .
