How much memory do I need?

4 replies 213 views Edited Nov 12, 2011

I ordered the 160gb PS3 since Amazon is having a the $50 off offer, which brings it to only $200.  Is it worth the extra $100 to get the 320gb model?  I was only planning on dropping some home videos on the HDD and download a few games.

I think the more memory the better but for $100 you can get a 500g or maybe even a 750g and just upgrade.

I would suggest you cancel your order and wait for Black Friday. Practicaly every major retailer is going to be selling the 160GB PS3 for $200 plus give you copies of Ratchet & Clank All 4 One & LBP 2, Amazon will probably match this price.

IMO a 500GB hard drive is going to be your best value, it shouldn't be hard to find one for $50. Anything higher than 500GB, the prices get a lot more expensive...

Since so many retailers are selling the PS3 for $200, I think it is far more likely that $200 will be a permanent price point next year...
