I just tried the WD-40 on my sticky controller, and it worked like a CHARM!!

if something needs to be stuck but it's not, use duct tape.

if something is stuck and needs to be un-stuck, use wd40.

 

those two items have gotten me out of the woods with a broken jeep many times.

I took my box controller apart a few times to clean the buttons, it;s a pretty simple assembly, pretty hard to screw up. The DS3's are a different story, much more complicated once you get inside. I would recommend watching a youtube video before/while you take it apart.

If you think taking apart console controllers is difficult, try almost completely disassembling and re-assembling a Logitech G15.

This is what i did---I just spit on the buttons which were sticky and began to press them rapidly and hard. I kept doing this everytime they got sticky for about a week and now they are good as new. Try this; it actually works

spitting on electronics is not a good idea.  also remind me to never touch your controllers.

i have the same problem, but i heard you can take the controller apart and fix it that way or use some spray
