heh, well, the 80GB actually formats to 74GB. Then, when you turn on the system for the first time, you are actually going to have something like sixty-something GB free, because the PS3 system reserves the rest for Admin purposes.
Thanks for the info. Wonder why they just don't call it the 74gb ps3, seems like false advertisement. I doubt I'll use up all the space anyway.

It's the harddrive manufactures that do this.
RAM is the exact opposite. They advertise say 2GB of RAM, but it's actually like 2,095,600 KB of ram. Notice the 95,600 KB extra?
