Is there a way to back up everything on ur ps3. all I want to back up is my PSN account,my friends, my PSN games,my PSN downloads, my DLC, and my game saves. What hard drive should I use? Western Digital? Because im replacing my internal hard drive

Everything but your gamesaves is tied to your PSN account and can be retrieved without a backup. Your friends list is stored on the servers and your PSN games and DLC can be re-downloaded from your Download List.
To backup the gamesaves I would recommend purchasing a membership to PlayStation Plus so that you can upload them all to the cloud and not have to worry about manually backing them up.
If you don't want to do that, just buy a USB HDD (manufacturer doesn't matter), format it to FAT32 on your PC, and run the Backup Utility from the PS3's settings menu.

There aren't many who are more knowledgeable than ProfessorTripp. He's right. The only thing I'd add is that if the saves you want aren't copy protected it'd be cheaper to just use a USB thumb drive. PS Plus is the best idea IMO because it will transfer copy protected saves.
