My 80Gig PS3 broke about 2 months ago, and I just got a new 120G today. How do I deactivate my old one using the computer?
SONY support will gladly do it. I have done this and it was easier than calling 411.

They will only deactivate video so that you can use the video service on your new system (only 1 device can be activated per account), but I've heard of people still not being able to re-download purchased videos. Luckily I had never bought anything, only rented.
When I called to deactivate mine, I asked about also deactivating my PSN games and was told that they "normally don't do that". So I guess it's possible...but good luck trying.
