I need a cam for my Windows 8 OS, so I wanted to use my ps# eye, because it has cam and microphone.
Windows recognizes the microphone, but not the camera.
Does anyone know what tweaks or driver it need to d/l to get it to work.
This is ridiculous becasuse Unbuntu 12 recognizes it with no problems at all.
I know some of you are going to say why do I have windows if I have Unbutu, which yes it is better, but I want to skype and I do not want to have to fiddle with getting skype pkg install to unbuntu.
I will be doing that while I await for possible answers to the windows 8 issue of not recognizing it.

Unfortunately, I never had Windows 8 so I can't guide you through this even if I wanted to.
is there any other website to download the drivers from??
website loaded for me, found this..
nstalling the older version of Skype for desktop 5.10 really fixed the issue, my ps3 eye now works great., do not use the skype APP for windows 8 and skype for desktop 6.0, this is still not working..
This is what the poster linked to, a site to get skype working with the pseye.
I have been developing apps for Playstation Eye on Windows for a while now and can confirm that the Code Laboratories CL Eye driver is compatible with Windows desktop (WPF) applications on Windows 8 but not those apps written for the Windows 8 Store.
The download link for the CL driver is https://codelaboratories.com/downloads/
I am currently working on a slow motion recorder app for Playstation Eye for Windows: www.heath-studios.com/slowmotion
