Hard reset for PSPgo?

5 replies 12009 views Edited Mar 29, 2010

I was using my PSPgo and remote play when the internet connection was interrupted. Now the PSPgo's screen is grey and says "Please wait..." for about an hour now.  Can't shut it off manually and no battery to remove to reset it! What the hell do I do now? Don't feel like waiting til the battery dies just to see if it's bricked or not.

Anybody know how to reset this little bugger?

I've had my PSP go freeze up a couple of times durig RE3 Nemesis and show me a black screen of nothingness.

I flipped the power switch off and held it for about thirty seconds and the PSPgo finally shut down.

It never showed me the "Please wait." though, so I hope my method works for you.

Either way, good luck.

There is no hard reset capability on the PSP Go.  You will have to wait until the console runs out of power.  It is possible to remove the battery (the manual has instructions for this), but doing so will void your warranty.

Just hold the power switch up. It will shut off after a moment. If it's waiting for a connection, shut off the WiFi switch.

Everyone thinks I'm psychotic (except my friends deep inside the earth).
