14 replies 128 views Edited Jul 10, 2013

Can someone tell me some headset which works with pc like regular headset (can listen to music, chat, and gaming) and at the same time also work with ps3?

Wireless or wired?

Which one is better?

I personally prefer wireless. and the price range is 50-200. Thank YoU  :smileyhappy:

If you are willing to push your budget to $299.00 I HIGHLY recommend you try to find a pair of Turtle Beach Limited Edition EFD. They are perfect. + Wireless

I'd recommend the Astro A50's

Don't go with any of those. Console audio systems are over priced and under perform. Do yourself a favor and get some real headphones from manufacturers that are trying to sell you audio instead of gimmicks.

With a $200 budget, go with these headphones

This mic

And the Astro Mixamp Pro

I bought Sony's Wireless Stereo Headset. In Canada they're valued at $100 and work with ps3 and my computer.

Edit: you can chat with them on Skype (I'm unsure for mulitplayer games on the pc for I have not played any yet), and you can listen to music and whatnot.

To be honest from somebody who actually knows a thing or two about audio? All three of the products you mentioned are crap. Just overpriced gimmicky toys. There is nothing high end about any of them.

At an affordable price, I cannot help you since a decent pair of wireless audiophile headphones are going to run you like $600 and you are still going to need the Astro Mixamp. Unfortunatly you have to make a choice as to what's more important. Audio or Wireless.

I'm using a pair of Turtle Beach X12's and I use them for the PC, but I can't us them for the PS3. It is however possible you just need an adapter which does take up a USB spot unfortunatly. I just bought a $60 headset and that suits me. I'm not lookin' to blow $200-300 on some awesome headset, for $60 I got a good headset with a clear mic, good sound, has great bass and can control it along with the volume of the game and players voice all seperately. It's all about personal prefference though, if you have that kind of money to spend on a good headset by all means do so, I'm cheap and that other $240 I could use for beer :smileytongue:
