From PS1 to PS3 and beyond.

When I was 8, my half-brother owned a PS1, he would let me play Monster Rancher on it, and would let me watch him play Silent Hill.

One of my friends had a PS1, and would let me play the first Spyro game, I admit, Spyro was really appealing to me.

Soon I got my own PS1, I learned to love a variety of games like Tales of Destiny II and Legend of Mana.

When I became a teenager, me and my mother would go to the arcade, so much so that she spent a lot of money on just trying to get the things I wanted, then I asked her if we could go to the video game store across the way, she agreed, the flashing lights and loud noises of the arcade really didn't appeal to her, it gave her a migrane.

We stopped at the video game store, and I saw it, a large ps2, it was big, yes, but it was beautiful. It was a giant onyx colored gaming monster, and when my eyes met it, they lit up. I asked her if I could get one, pointing to the playstation 2, which at the time had many games to offer, and still does to this day, she said if we never go to the arcade again she'd buy it for me, I agreed.

I have a huge library of ps2 games, Drakengard, God of War, Fatal Frame, Kingdom Hearts, Silent Hill, Siren. I spent many hours on those games, and I still look back at them with a smile, I knew Play Station from when I was little, and I felt like I grew up with it, somehow, and when i heard about the ps3, I was overjoyed.

Though I was very short on money for the first half year that the ps3 was released, I was able to get a 320GB ps3 move bundle for my 21st birthday.

So far I have over 10 physical copies of games I can play on the ps3, not counting the ps1 games that I never sold. I still have my old ps1 in the living room as well.

I also got a PSP for christmas, and I have a few games for that as well.

I am still wary about the PSVita because I don't have the money for it, at least not until holidays. I know I won't regret getting one, It's just getting the money for it is the problem, I am on Social Security Disability Insurance and the only money I get is from my parents because I cannot work due to a severe back condition. Video games help me relax and it also takes my mind off the pain. My back isn't the only problem, but that's a different story. I won't say MAYBE i'll get a Vita or MAYBE i'll get a ps4, it's a definite, I've been with PlayStation for a decade, since i'm 22 now. And I don't plan on leaving PlaySation anytime soon. No one else makes survival horror games quite like Sony does.
