Friends and Networking

3 replies 7 views Edited May 28, 2012

Okay I have what I think is probably a stupid question but PSN online friends are different than PS3 friends? I’ve like 3 friends on this site but they don’t show up on my PS3 friends list. Same vice versa, my PS3 friends (again like only 3 of them) don’t show up on this web-site. Am I doing something wrong?

Secondly if I’m not then isn’t it a little lame that your PSN friends on a computer don’t sync into the PS3 friends. Aren’t they fundamentally the same network?

You're not doing something wrong. That's just the way it is. Just send your forum friends a friend request on your PS3. I don't think it's "lame" but obviously you do. Maybe others will weigh in....

Forums friends aren't PSN friends. Honestly, I don't know what forums friends are for. But Forum friends and PSN friends shouldn't link together. PSN's friend limit is at 100 people. What if you had more than 100 friends here? You couldn't add anyone else on PSN.

Okay but I still think it's dumb, both the 100 friend limit and the not linking the forum friends to the PSN friends. Like eagles1990 put it, what are forum friends even for then? From what I’m seeing it’s kind of a want to be twitter, you friend and follow certain people, that’s all it’s good for.
