I read the Playstation Blog and the forums everyday. I have not heard anything about a change in the friend limit.

it's an age-old question. Will they bump up the friend limit.

The short term answer is basically no. I would definitely not hold my breath for that. They haven't announced anything and they likely are not going to announce anything.
