Formatting question

Alright, when I first had my Vita I put it on my account, but my husband now wants it on his account.  We can only attach it to one account.  That being said, if I format my Vita, will I lose my save data? For example, I own Persona 4 the golden.  I own the physical game copy.  Will that save data stay on the card or is it housed in the Vita and will I lose it? In counter I have a bunch of games loaded on it like Dissidia, and those will probably get wiped, right?

Re: Formatting question

if your going to format your vita, you should back everything up on your computer though the content manager that way you will still have your game saves and what not. then you can transfer over to his account without losing anything. you can also transfer the saves over to a ps3 if you guys own one. also, you will lose everything like downloaded games because its connected to your account

Re: Formatting question

Just to be more clear if you are a new Vita user you can redownload everything you bought. Probably a no brainer but I figured just in case you might not had known that already.

PSP games store the save files separately (pretty much like it happened with the PSP), so you can copy the save files with Content Manager and don't worry about losing them even if you delete the games. PSV games, on the other hand, are a different issue. Some games seem to store the saves in the cart, others go in the memcard (thus the "This game needs a memcard" requirement)~.

Your safest bet is to make an image of the memcard just in caase, sure go ahead and backup your save data but it's not 100% reliable (or at least, it wasn't for me) but also do the image as that will guarantee tha in the worst case scenario you can restore everything as it was~.
