First post so bear with me

5 replies 93 views Edited Nov 15, 2012

Aight here's my issue and my questions: For almost 2 years now i have enjoyed my ps3 (games, browsing online sites and streaming videos) but now since the last update or two i can no longer stream my favorite anime sites. i called playstation about it and was apologized to a lot but basically told they have no idea why in the last update playstation changed their browser to block out such sites. it really pisses me off because streaming videos on my big screen was one of the main options i loved about ps3 ... besides the games. hooking up my pc is not a option so i had to rely on my ps3 for that ... now i have to sit at my computer and watch them. ok harped about it enough ... here's my questions : anyone know why they did this ? will it ever be reversed so we can stream something besides movie sites, you tube , and netflix , etc... cuz i want my anime sites back up and running on my ps3.

Welcome.

Now LEAVE! Go! Scat! Shoo!

JK.  I have seen posts regarding an apparent crack down on browsable sites.  I do not personally use the browser, so I do not know.

I do know the ones who have had complaints referenced porn.  I am not sure why it won't let you watch anime, unless it is obscure.  It isn't Hentai, is it?  That's just gross, if it is.

Regardless, I am sure someone here might have an incling to what the issue is.  Welcome none the less.

Again, I am not sure of why the changes have occurred.

I was into anime once, but it didn't go over well with the girlfriend, now wife.  Eventually I got over it I guess.  I hope you find a resolution to your woes.

Enjoy the Forum, regardless.  It took me a while to gravitate here, but I have enjoyed it ever since.

Ha, I can't even play PS3 when my wife is home, yet she still jumps on Facebook and plays Bejeweled Blitz.

She asks me condescendingly, are you really going to play video games.  What the hell is Bejeweled, if not a video game?

Yeah, I had all the DBZ Action figures in packages.  They were decorating the walls of my room when I first met her.  I put them away for a while, thinking I could get money for them some day.  Unfortunately, space became a premium at the condo we moved to together, so I had to get rid of them in a hurry.  I took them to Toys for tots.  You should have seen the look on their faces.  They wanted to give me coupon books for McDonald's, Free Coffees at Starbucks.  I told them to just make sure some kids get good use of them.

I even had the MacFarlane Figures for Ghost in the Shell, Akira, and Trigun.  I had both the stand alone Canada Cycle and the Canada/cycle package.  They were all very nice.  Oh well.  I gave the opened Ninja Turtles (originals circa 1989) to my nephews to play with.

If I had the money today that I spent on all that stuff, and I am not even including the VHS and DVDs, I think I would have close to two thousand dollars.  Shameful.  I guess I can understand my wife's distaste for it all.

Boys will be boys though.  LOL :smileyvery-happy:  Enjoy the anime, if you get to watch it again.

Wait a minute, maybe your wife is behind the block!  LOL JK :smileylol:

Nice to meet you.
