Favorite Old Game?

The graphics may not have been the best, the dialogue may have been downright painful to listen to (Resident Evil) but some games become more than entertainment, they become short term addictions. From side scrollers like Final Fight and Double Dragon, to the simple but fun Tetris to vehicular mayhem in any of the Twisted Metal games, we've all had that one game we kept going back again and again.

And we don't even have to go back that far. Lately the other day I felt the need to play Resident Evil 4 and remembered just how annoying Ashley was. Maybe I'll visit the halls of Arkham Asylum next.

What about you? What was your addiction?
Silent Hill 2 isn’t really that old. Not to me. It was released in the 6th video game generation. There are older video games that I enjoy too but I can go back many years. I will choose Silent Hill 2 for this thread. I replay this masterpiece all of the time.

The Resident Evil directors cut is probably the funniest intro to a game ever, complete with stuffed killer dog trying to break down the door.

How old are we going? I used to be obsessed with Carmen Sandiego, and then for some odd reason Alien Storm. My copy no longer works, probably too much spit in there from blowing on the cartridge like a moron.

Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver. The first game I ever played to the end, that I can remember. Played the whole series but this one was the one that got me into it all!! I wish they would make a HD version of the series.

Duke Nukem Time to Kill and Gex Enter the gecko for PlayStation 1. All the Grand Theft Auto games from PlayStation 2, All Resistance games from PlayStation 3. There is really a very huge amount of games to choice from, but those are my favs.

It really depends on how you define old. To give a decent range of time, Ill go ahead and go with Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back and Resistance: Fall of Man.
