Translated from the Dengeki Playstation Magazine by andriasang.com,
The other bit of news concerns Falcom's support for Sony's next generation NGP portable platform. Falcom CEO Toshihiro Kondo reveals that the studio is working on a new RPG for the NGP with aim of releasing the game close to launch.
Falcom's confidence in sharing this news goes to show that they are tight with Playstation. A few weeks back, Imageepoch announced that they are planning NGP games and that they had NGP dev kits in their studios, "prior to most other companies". Very few third party title games have been detailed to the public although, more details maybe shared at the Sony E3 2011 press conference.
Stay tuned for more.
Falcom has a good legacy because of the numerous RPG and turn based RPG games it created for the PSP. They are company that proved it is not the name of the publishing company or development studio that really matters but, the quality of content they make on a certain device. There is very little doubt Falcom will use their knowledge with the PSP to continue making imaginative games for NGP.
Sega, Square Enix, RockStar and, other major game companies will be sure to create games on the NGP. Those games will showcase their companies own knowledge in the games industry and in the art of game creation in general. It would serve as a bonus if the big name companies had the type of experience Falcom had with the PSP, with other social devices or, with both!
