Excluding the GPS feature, why did you opt for the 3g version?

just would like to hear all the input as the 3g seems COMPLETELY USELESS unless I'm missing something. And the data plan costs don't help either.

I bought the system from Lockerz discounted for $239.99. So it was cheaper than the Wifi, and also the 3G bundle.

Because it better to have the option and choose not to use it than not have the option and suddenly find the need to use it.

I will not use it day to day but may on extended travel as you activate and deactivate ad hoc.

I know you said excluding the GPS but having the GPS it worth it on its own, using near, it pinpointed me extremely accurately.

I'm the type of person that figures by the best specs I can afford (its normally the money that limits this).

I can live with the 4gb memory for now as I can upgrade as I need too in a few months, but I couldn't had 3G if some killer app comes out that requires it.

Just my 2cents which is not worth as much as it used to be.
