Error code (80130182) and (80710102) when trying to connect to internet

hey can anyone help me? Im so fustrated I bought my Ps3 about a month ago and have been playing online since then with no problems until yesterday when for some reason the internet connection failed. Everytime I go to do an internet connection test it always results in a msg saying (a connection to the network could not be established,go to settings then network settings and check settings) after that is an error code(80130182). I know this error code means that I could not obtain an ip address and thats one of my problems. I figured out how to obtain an ip address that works but then after I do the test again the ip address goes through yet my internet connection fails and then comes up with a different error code(80710102). The problem now is that I cannot find a primary and secondary DNS that will work. My connection to the internet works perfectly fine cause it's the same connection I use for my computer. I have called playstation support and they tell me to do eveything that I've already tried and then they tell me that it's a problem with my internet provider. So I call my internet provider and asked them what to do and they tell me to do everything that playstation support told me to do like unplug eveything including my modem for a few minutes and then try to connect again. I tried this over and over again about probably over 40 times within the last 2 days and it always resulted with the same error codes. I googled the error codes and noticed that alot of other people have had these exact problems and the only thing is I cannot find a solution even after trying alot of different things people have posted. SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME!!

80710102 is a generic "I can't connect to the internet" error message. Doesn't mean much. How are you connecting your ps3 to your equipment. You said you took the same cable you use on your pc and connected straight to the PS3. What device is it connecting to on the other end, is it a router or a modem?

reset your modem and you should be fine!

i have a modem on the other end and it does'nt have a reset button but I have uplug it numerous times like my internet provider told me to and got the same old stupid error codes.

Unplug everything from your router.

Unplug everything from your modem, even the cable.

Remember where everything goes.

Plug it all back in.

I've been having these same issues..I've been connected through a wireless network ever since I bought my ps3. Worked fine and all was good.

But yesterday it just started giving me **bleep** about a DNS error (80710102) when I tried to connect to PSN and when I opened the browser I got the other one (80130182) on screen. But my setup has NOT changed, and when I run TVersity or Mediahome from my laptop, it shows up in the XMB.

Now, last night I tried hardwiring it and that seemed to help..but today, it doesnt even connect through a (new) ethernet cable. It even fails a connection test, obtaining only an ip but failing everything else. PC connection is fine though.. still ruthless. Can someone tell me what happened?

My PS3 has been having the same problem. I've been using a wired connection and then i switched over to a wirless connection and its been working for a couple months online. All of a sudden, after i download the new system update i can't play cod mw2 online. i tested the connection and got the error code (80029020). So i did a little research and found out that my internet browser doesnt work on my ps3 either. It comes up with the error code (80130182). It also says to check my settings. I have resetted the router countless times and it still doesnt work. Can someone help on how to fix... thanks
