I've been a loyal Playstation consumer for years, since the original playstation. I was psyched when Playstation announced a credit card that would let you earn points so you could get playstation stuff for free. Its even better that you get 10x points for every dollar spent on PSN! Now here is the rub, starting almost a week ago they decided my Playstation card should no longer work, for no reason.
I called Capital One, Everything is fine with the card (It works everywhere else, too, so I believe them). I called Sony 5 different times and tech support kept having me check Capital One, type my Account Information again, Retype my billing information, Remove my apartment number, try it in all caps, try it all on one line, Double check card isnt expired, Double check card CCV, Turn on auto-fund, etc. nothing worked. I tried from my Vita, too. No dice.
Then they said that sometimes lots of attempts in a short span can cause a 24h lockout, I waited 48 just to be safe. Still wont work. Tried a bunch of the steps again after waiting. Nope.
There seems to be nothing I can do to allow me to give Sony my money. All of my tech support calls (even the one with the manager), said that they get this issue a lot, and that there is no work around, and they dont know how to fix it. For a company that is moving increasingly to digital releases this should be terrifying them, and a top priority to figure out. I refuse to buy PSN cards because im essentially leaving money on the table by not getting points for my PSN purchases, and it makes NO SENSE that I cant buy things on PSN with a card designed to do exactly that.
Has anyone found any weird work arounds out there that I haven't mentioned up above?

I read recently that other people are having some trouble too. Not sure if its the playstation card though. I would call Sony back and instead of trouble shooting or tech support, try accounts and billing. When you got the card did you make a lot of purchases within a short time? Some company's and banks stop spending if their are a lot of charges within a certain amount of time as a precaution against theft. Hope it gets work out for you.

I've talked to Accounts/Billing as well. They are just as perplexed.
As far as purchases with the card, I havent made any more than normal. I use this card as my default credit card and it works everywhere else. I've also talked to the bank and they said that there are no stops or security threats flagged.

I have been trying to get rid of the error for a week now.playstation absolutely sucks for letting this go without providing real answers. I am sure this is a well known issue by now. All I want to do is give them $300 for Sunday Ticket...never have I seen a company suck so bad for something that is probably an easy fix. #MISSINGMYXBOX

Today is the 24th of October almost 2 weeks since you had the problem and now im having it :-(. What the **bleep** is this, it had never happened to me. All I want is to play the Artorias of the Abyss DLC for Dark Souls and nope. Cant add funds.
