If I remember right, the psp has more visualizations than the ps3 does.
My original Playstation1 had like 10 visualizations or so.

Here's some COLD Water in Sony's face, or egg: Knowing full well the bigM has incoporated Milkdrop into their array allowing for the audiophile to enjoy a great variety of eyecandy. Perhaps the genious at Sony caculated the math and figured that too many PS3 would smoke processing the vis/audio hence the simplistic, mundane, boring vis.
Visulization demands high processing power, high process power+more heat=higher risk of failure
Higer Risk of Failure X millions of users Vis'in = Told you So!!

Totally agree guys and gals. Sony, If you're reading this...
The earth visualizer is super cool and all, but it just doesn't suit all music types. We need one that's just a tad more intense like the visualizer that comes before the earth visualizer (I'm not a fan of that middle one).

what would be cool is a visualizer that allows you to customize how the colors and patterns respond to frequencies ,
That is one of many functions that Milkdrop can do.

Just a bump to say some of us still are hoping for more visualizations. If they included visualizations with dynamic themes I would actually be tempted to purchase them.
