Do you leave your PS3 plugged in?

40 replies 530 views Edited Sep 10, 2013

I've been reading about the dreaded YLOD on the PS3's and have a quick question. I always either unplug my PS3 or turn off the power supply to it when finished. I have a 360 and I know all too well the RROD issue as I'm on my 3rd 360 and I always unplug it and haven't had an issue since. Do any of you do this or have heard if this helps/works? It may just be wishful thinking but it can't hurt I guess.

4 times? Wow! That has to suck. Mine is on a surge protector but i take no chances and turn it off just in case.

@ OP - Yes, my PS3 is always plugged in.

Brink-2-Chaos - Sorry but I disagree, power surges are not the cause of YLOD.

I usually leave my PS3 on stand by mode, I've never unplugged it unless I needed to.

Same thing, but I have it plugged into a surge protector as well.  I will eventually be purchasing an Uninterupted Power Supply for all my gaming systems.

Most of the time it's plugged in. Currently, it is not because I will not use my ps3 until the 17th (hopefully, I have university and work related to it... obviously). :catvery-happy:

My PS3 does generally stay plugged in. Having to plug and unplug is annoying! No, I'm not lazy. lol
