Re: Do Playstation Plus 1 year Voucher cards Expire?

Just contacted SONY, according to the person I talked with you are actually not correct.  He told me SONY has no expiration policy on these cards.  They may or may not expire at any time.  If you actually want to know the expiration date you have to contact the retailer you bought the card from.  They set the expiration date.

This will be a pain, but i guess i will contact them and try to figure it out.  Since i'm trying to get an official answer and not just make guesses based on the norms.

Re: Do Playstation Plus 1 year Voucher cards Expire?

So, called the retailer HQ.  They said to call local store.  They said to again call SONY.

Got an answer this time.  SONY rep said that if the card does not have an expiration date printed on the card, it should not expire.  He said that if it did end up not working after trying to activate a year or two later you could call SONY and they would probably be able to re-activate it.

Unless someone else can find more official info.  The correct answer is not "i think it expires in 1 year.  Thats when many gift cards expire, so that makes me correct."

The correct answer accoring to SONY as of now is: PS PLUS 1 year voucher cards do not expire if there is no expiration date printed on the card.

Re: Do Playstation Plus 1 year Voucher cards Expire?

completely agree and sympathise with your predicament Domino.  I have had a PSN account based in Ireland from the beginning, and decided to get a PS Plus Subscription when they came out (mainly for the cloud saving, as I've 2 PS3's in a row to YLOD). Since then I have moved to the US.  Since I've moved here, I had to change the address on my Irish Credit Card to my US address....so when PS Plus ran out and tried to auto renew....it wouldnt because my credit card details are no longer in Ireland.  I dont want to give up my original PSN ID (and all my trophies which I've become attached to) so I'm trying to get my hands on a EURO Irish PlayStation Plus Subscription card (harder than you might think with credit cards with US addresses) At this stage getting one of my mates in dublin to buy one for me and email me the code.

I'd also like to buy ANOTHER PlayStation Plus card, so I can use that when my next one runs out (dont get home to Ireland thast much) so I'd like to know if and when these cards expire as well.

By the way, if anyone has any ideas of where I could buy Euro / Irish PS Plus Subscription Cards online in the US I'd be very appreciative.

Cheers,

SK
