So I have a sony bravia that has a VGA input on the back for pc usage or something. Will it look good if i buy a hdmi-vga cable for the ps3 and connect it to the hdtv . Ive never done that and since it would be a PC connection im guessing the games will look like they look on PC or better than regualr definition. They cables are cheap so would this work? will the games look good?
I don't think its possible..... The PS3 has HDCP signal through HDMI and unless the TV supports HDCP through VGA you're SOL as you'll be looking at a blank screen.
What model of TV is it? Does it not have HDMI?
I don't know if it would work but I can speak for myself I have vga to ps3 cables and have it connected to a computer monitor.
It works BUT I have to adjust the picture and I can't fully center the picture its slightly to the left to much and my monitor keeps refreshing it's self to try and center the picture. ( really annoying ) hdmi cables are the best way to go ( if possble)
Hope this helps
If cost is a concern for HDMI cables....
Whatever color you want and whatever length you need.
