Because he wants to play his PS2 games.

A used PS2 is not expensive, and the odds of ALL of them being broken are quite slim.

So I don't see the issue with just returning the faulty PS2 that he bought, and just buying another one.

They're not losing any money.

They just don't see effort=reward.

I'd suggest a ps3 or ps4 tho. PS3's are pretty cheap to get as well now.  And ps4's aren't to expensive ethier

Again, maybe the OP just doesn't want to play PS3/PS4 games.

Maybe he already has a PS3/PS4, but has a large library of PS2 games he wants to play, and clearly needs a PS2 to play them.

I know they can't. I was just suggesting for him to get one of those as well. Since no ps2 games are being made

that bad sony is breaking the gaming industry

they make good games but they dont produce ps2s anymore

ps3s or ps4 isnt even backwards copatible

how are people supposed to play their ps2 games now?

buying a used ps2 is difficuly because just read the op

if ps3 and ps4 was backwards copatible tthe gaming industry would not be breaking

If I can find the means to play vinyl records anyone can find the means to play a game on a console discontinued only last year.

That analogy makes no sense whatsoever because they still make record players. They don't make PS2s anymore. You can buy a brand new quality record player at most major electronics stores for a relatively low price.

There are 3 PS2 models.

Fat, Slim and Slim 2. Slim 2 is a more dull model which had a more rounded front rather than being squared off.

Also, another difference is that the slim and slim 2 contain built in network ports unlike the fat, and the slims both have a glitch that prevents some PS2 games that worked on the fat PS2 to refuse playback. A notable example is Ty the tasmanian tiger 3.
