bravia sync, no option to install linux, and size.  That's it.  Oh, I believe the slims load a little slower and that's it.

To be honest, there are no differences between the PS3 Slim and the original PS3.  They have the same component.  It's just the Slim PS3 is small, less power-consuming and loads fast.  Plus the Slim PS3 does not overheat than the original PS3.  The Slim PS3's wireless connection is faster than the original.  Same graphics.  Blu-ray drive as always.

The Slim "Lost" these features, when compared to orginal

  • PS2 BC
  • SACD (Super Audio CD Support)
  • Multi-Media Card Readers
  • 2 Usb Ports
  • Install OtherOS (aka Linux)

The Slim features the orginal does not

  • Produces less heat, 1/3 smaller, 1/3 lighter, uses less juice
  • Added Bravio Synch
  • Added Ability to to TrueHD Audio via Bitstream and LinearPCM (Orginal can do TrueHD, via LinearPCM Only).

It is under the front right side of the unit. A little different setup, but the same as the old ps3.
