you could defiantly sneak by home repaired ylod ps3s they just turn them on put a game in to see if it boots up i dont think they test them to extensively maybe they have the console on for about 5-10min
but like others said some do it some dont
No, you cannot sell a broken PS3 to GameStop. It's also incredibly dishonest to do so. I don't believe you can store game saves on a PC, but I've never tried it.
actually they do take them even if broken however you wont get as much as you would get if it was still working.\
i know as i had the origional xbox which didnt work and eb took it even if it was broken...
Seriously just take that POS apart. Heat gun/ hairdryer it..apply some cheap thermal paste. Put it back together. It will work for 20 minutes or so..far longer than they are going to test it.
Who cares if its dishonest!?!
Its dishonest to sell someone a product that does a, b, and c.. then tell them it now only does A and b and you can suck it.
Sony is dishonest. Gamestop is dishonest. May as well return the favor.
Would you want to slide one past them? And maybe some poor soul will come along with his/her hard earned cash and buy it from the store. End up being screwed. Would that be cool for you? Do unto others.....eh?
Demanding on which system you have you can always try posting it on Craigslist and see how much you can get. Just be upfront and honest about it's condition. As for quick patching just to get a little extra money from a retailer that resells them all your doing is hurting the honest people in the end. The money lost by any company is always passed down to the consumer regardless of what some people claim.
when did u do that? like one month after ur system broke? because my system has been broken for like 6 months, but i could deal with it casue its lasts about 2 hours, but now it lasts about 10-30 mins before it heats up, unless if i play in a really cold room.... i have to freeze my ass off to death lol, and that takes up more money. oh yeah its a older version of ps3 too, 40gb, purchased about 2 years ago.
**bleep** .. what u mean dishonest to sell a broken ps3 to gamestop ... its **bleep**ed up what they did to us ... **bleep**ing make u download something .. that make our blueray drive die ... and say we gotta pay for them to fix something they broke ... on top of that ... were r all the ps3 games .. **bleep** sony ... there dishonest ..
